Privacy Policy
How Rouyat Building Contracting collects, uses and protects the information you give us through this website.
Last updated: 27 August 2026
1. Who we are
This website, rouyatbuildingcontracting.com, is operated by Rouyat Building Contracting, a building contracting company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Throughout this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Rouyat Building Contracting.
We are the party that decides why and how your personal information is handled when you use this website or contact us through it. If you have any question about this policy, or about anything we hold about you, contact us:
- Email: rouyatbuildingcontractor@gmail.com
- Phone: +971 58 105 6204
- Address: Office Number 965, Al Mosa Tower, Sheikh Zayed Road, Opp. Museum of the Future, Trade Centre First, Dubai, UAE
Please put “Privacy” in the subject line of any email about this policy so it reaches the right person quickly.
2. The information we collect
We collect very little, and only what we need in order to respond to you and carry out work you ask us to do.
2.1 Information you give us directly
When you complete the enquiry form on our contact page, we collect:
- Your name, so we know who we are speaking to.
- Your phone number, so we can call or send you a WhatsApp message about your enquiry.
- Your email address, so we can reply and send you a written quotation.
- The service you are interested in, so the enquiry reaches the right person.
- Your message, including anything you choose to tell us about the property, the works or the timescale.
If you contact us instead by phone, WhatsApp or email, we hold whatever you choose to share in that conversation. You decide how much that is. Please do not send us copies of identity documents, bank details or payment card numbers through the website form or by email.
2.2 Information collected automatically
Like nearly every website, this site sits on a web server that keeps technical logs. These logs are generated by our hosting provider and typically record the IP address making the request, the date and time, the page or file requested, the referring page, and basic browser and device information. They exist for security and troubleshooting: identifying attacks, diagnosing errors and keeping the site available.
We also record failed login attempts to the website’s administration area, in order to block repeated attempts to break in. That record includes the IP address the attempt came from.
2.3 Cookies
This website uses a small number of cookies, and asks for your consent before setting anything that is not strictly necessary. What each cookie does, how long it lasts and how to remove it is set out in our Cookie Policy.
2.4 Analytics
At the time this policy was last updated, this website does not run Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics or advertising tracking. If that changes, we will update this policy and the Cookie Policy before the tracking is switched on, and analytics cookies will only be set if you consent to them.
3. Why we use your information, and on what basis
We use the information above for these purposes only:
- To respond to your enquiry and to arrange a site visit, prepare a quotation and discuss the works with you.
- To carry out work you engage us for, including contacting you about scheduling, access, variations and completion.
- To keep records of quotations issued and work carried out, which we may need for accounting purposes or if a question arises later about a job.
- To keep the website secure and working, using server logs and login protection.
Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the “PDPL”), personal data may be processed where the individual has consented, or where the processing is necessary for one of the grounds the law sets out. We rely on:
- Your consent, which you give by submitting the enquiry form and ticking the consent box, for us to contact you about your enquiry. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see section 7).
- The necessity of processing to perform or enter into a contract with you, where you go on to engage us for works.
- Our legitimate interest in keeping this website secure and operational, for server logs and login protection, balanced against your privacy.
We do not use your information to build a marketing profile, and we do not send marketing emails or bulk messages to people who have simply made an enquiry.
4. How long we keep it
We do not keep personal data longer than we need it.
- Enquiries that do not proceed: kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Enquiries are often revived months later, which is why the period is not shorter.
- Enquiries that become jobs: kept for the duration of the work and then for up to 5 years afterwards, so that we can deal with questions, warranty issues and accounting obligations.
- Form submissions stored in the website database: retained on the same basis as the enquiry itself and deleted along with it.
- Server logs and failed login records: retained on a short rolling basis by our hosting provider and the security plugin, generally measured in weeks rather than years.
If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will do so unless we are required to keep it for a legal or accounting reason, in which case we will tell you.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
Your information is handled by a small number of service providers who make this website and our correspondence work:
- Our hosting provider (Hostinger), which stores the website, its database and its server logs.
- Our email provider (Google, for our Gmail address), through which enquiry notifications and our replies are sent and received.
- Google Maps, if you choose to interact with the map embedded on our contact page. See the Cookie Policy for what that involves.
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to contact us using the WhatsApp buttons. That conversation happens on WhatsApp’s platform under Meta’s own terms and privacy policy.
Beyond that, we would only disclose your information if we were legally required to do so by a UAE court, regulator or law enforcement authority, or where it was necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
6. Security
We take practical steps to protect the information we hold:
- The whole website is served over HTTPS, so information you submit through the form is encrypted in transit.
- Access to the website’s administration area is restricted to a small number of accounts, protected by strong passwords and by a plugin that blocks repeated failed login attempts.
- File editing from within the WordPress dashboard is disabled, and the website software and plugins are kept updated.
- Enquiry data stored in the website database is accessible only to logged-in administrators.
No system connected to the internet can be guaranteed completely secure. If a breach ever occurred that was likely to affect your rights, we would act on it promptly and notify those affected and the relevant authority as required under the PDPL.
7. Your rights
Under the PDPL you have rights over the personal data we hold about you. You can ask us to:
- Give you access to the personal data we hold about you, and tell you how it is being used.
- Correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your personal data where we no longer have a valid reason to keep it.
- Restrict or object to how we process it in certain circumstances.
- Receive a copy of the data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used format.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, where consent is what we relied on. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
To exercise any of these rights, email rouyatbuildingcontractor@gmail.com and tell us what you would like us to do. We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge. We may ask you a question or two to confirm that the request genuinely comes from you, so that we do not disclose one person’s information to another.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your request, you may raise it with the UAE Data Office.
8. Children
This website is aimed at property owners, tenants, businesses and facility managers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
We are based in Dubai, but some of the services we rely on operate internationally. Our hosting provider runs data centres in a number of countries, and the server hosting this website may be located outside the UAE. Our email is provided by Google and is likewise processed on international infrastructure.
This means your information may be stored or processed outside the United Arab Emirates. Where that happens, we use established providers that offer contractual and technical safeguards for the data they hold, consistent with the requirements of the PDPL for transfers outside the UAE.
10. Links to other websites
Where this website links out, for example to WhatsApp or Google Maps, that other service has its own privacy policy and we are not responsible for it. We would encourage you to read it before sharing anything sensitive.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when what we do changes, for example if we add analytics, change a service provider or start offering something new through the website. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version. Where a change materially affects how your information is used, we will make that clear on the website rather than relying on you to re-read the page.
12. Contact
Questions, requests and complaints about privacy should go to rouyatbuildingcontractor@gmail.com, or by post to Office Number 965, Al Mosa Tower, Sheikh Zayed Road, Trade Centre First, Dubai, UAE. We would always rather hear from you directly and put something right than have you raise it elsewhere first.
