1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. When you come back, the browser sends that file back, so the site can recognise the same browser and remember something about your last visit.

Cookies are not programs and cannot read the rest of your device or run anything on it. What they can do is carry a small piece of information, which might be a random identifier, a setting you chose, or a record that you dismissed a notice. Related technologies such as local storage work in a similar way and are covered by this policy too.

A cookie set by the website you are visiting is a first-party cookie. One set by a different domain whose content is embedded in the page, such as a map, is a third-party cookie.

2. How this website uses cookies

This is a brochure website for a contracting company. There is no account to log into, no shopping basket and no advertising network. As a result we use very few cookies, and none of them are used to build a profile of you or to follow you to other websites.

We do not sell data collected through cookies, and we do not share it with advertisers.

3. The categories we use

3.1 Strictly necessary

These are needed for the website to work and to record the choice you make about cookies. They cannot be switched off through the banner, because without them the site could not remember that you had answered the question at all. They are set on a legitimate interest basis rather than by consent.

3.2 Preference and functional

These remember a choice you made, such as which cookie categories you agreed to. They are only set once you have interacted with the cookie banner.

3.3 Analytics

This website does not currently use analytics cookies. Google Analytics is not installed, and no other analytics, heat-mapping or advertising tracking is running on the site. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy first, list the cookies here, and only set them for visitors who consent to the analytics category in the banner.

3.4 Advertising

We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies, and we have no plans to.

4. The cookies actually set on this website

The table below lists what this website sets in a normal visit. It was compiled by loading the site in a browser and inspecting the cookies, not copied from a template, so it reflects the site as it actually is.

If you are a member of staff logging in to the WordPress dashboard, WordPress also sets session cookies (names beginning wordpress_ and wp-settings-) to keep you logged in and remember your dashboard preferences. These are strictly necessary, apply only to logged-in administrators, and are never set for ordinary visitors.

5. Third-party cookies

5.1 Google Maps

Our contact page shows a map of our office at Al Mosa Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road. The map is loaded from Google, and Google may set its own cookies on the google.com domain when it loads, typically to remember map preferences and for its own security and abuse prevention.

We have deliberately set the map up so that it does not load until you scroll down to it. If you never scroll to the map, Google is never contacted and no Google cookies are set. Anything Google stores is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy rather than by us.

5.2 WhatsApp

The WhatsApp buttons on this site are ordinary links. They set no cookies. Nothing is sent to WhatsApp or Meta unless you click one, at which point you leave this website and Meta’s own terms and privacy policy apply to the conversation.

5.3 YouTube and other embeds

There are no YouTube videos, social media feeds or other third-party embeds on this website, so none of the cookies those services normally set are present here.

6. How to change your consent on this site

When you first arrive, a banner asks whether you accept cookies beyond the strictly necessary ones. You can accept or reject from that banner.

To change your mind later, clear this site’s cookies in your browser using the steps in section 7 and reload the page. The banner will appear again and you can make a different choice. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not restrict any part of this website: every page, the enquiry form and the contact details all work exactly the same either way.

7. How to manage or delete cookies in your browser

Your browser gives you full control. You can see what is stored, delete it, and block cookies for specific sites or for everything. Blocking all cookies will break parts of many websites, so most people find it easier to clear cookies for a particular site when they want to reset it.

Google Chrome

Open the three-dot menu and choose Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies to set your general preference. To clear this site specifically, go to Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → View permissions and data stored across sites, search for the site and delete its data. On Android, the same options are under Settings → Site settings.

Safari

On macOS, open Safari → Settings → Privacy. Use Prevent cross-site tracking for the general setting, and Manage Website Data to find a site and remove its cookies. On iPhone and iPad, go to Settings → Apps → Safari, where you will find Block All Cookies and Clear History and Website Data.

Mozilla Firefox

Open the menu and choose Settings, then Privacy & Security. Enhanced Tracking Protection sets the general level. Under Cookies and Site Data, choose Manage Data to search for a site and remove what it has stored, or Clear Data to remove everything.

Microsoft Edge

Open the three-dot menu and choose Settings, then Cookies and site permissions, then Manage and delete cookies and site data. See all cookies and site data lets you search for a specific site and delete its entry.

Other browsers and devices

If you use a different browser, look for a privacy or security section in its settings. Most browsers also offer a private or incognito window, which discards all cookies when you close it.

8. Changes to this policy

We will update this page whenever the cookies on the site change, for example if we add analytics or embed something new. The “last updated” date at the top shows the current version. Because we list only the cookies actually present, this page is checked whenever plugins on the site are added or changed.
